As a CNC Machine Technician, you will utilize your technical aptitude to ensure consistent output, maintain machine efficiency, and contribute to the overall craftsmanship of our precision machining operations.
Responsibilities- Execute production cycles by loading and unloading CNC turning and milling equipment according to technical specifications.
- Ensure part integrity by performing rigorous in-process inspections using precision metrology tools like micrometers and calipers.
- Proactively monitor machine performance to detect deviations, vibrations, or quality issues before they impact production.
- Collaborate with senior machinists to streamline setup processes, including tooling adjustments and work-holding configurations.
- Maintain high standards of shop floor organization and cleanliness to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Document production metrics and part counts accurately to support inventory and scheduling accuracy.
- Uphold a culture of safety by strictly adhering to all operational protocols and utilizing required personal protective equipment.
- Communicate tooling wear or equipment malfunctions immediately to minimize downtime and maintain output quality.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a CNC or precision manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and understanding dimensional tolerances.
- Demonstrated ability to use and calibrate standard inspection tools for quality assurance.
- Strong focus on detail with the ability to maintain consistent output during repetitive tasks.
- Physical capability to stand for extended shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Completion of technical school training or relevant machining certifications.
- Exposure to G-Code, M-Code, or basic CNC programming concepts.
- Experience participating in machining competitions or NIMS credentialing programs.
- A proactive mindset focused on professional growth and skill advancement toward full machinist status.
