Senior Director of Sales & Marketing Theme Park
$140,000 to $150,000 Full Relocation
Purpose – Provides leadership and oversight for all ticket and group sales, marketing team, campaigns, website, communications, and special events at the Theme Amusement Park & Waterpark Resort. The role drives attendance, revenue, and brand growth, and oversees both in‑house marketing and outsourced advertising agencies.
The Senior Director of Sales & Marketing aligns departmental strategy with business objectives, oversees key budgets, and ensures that sales, marketing, and events efforts operate cohesively to position the resort as a premier regional destination.
Key responsibilities include:
driving attendance, revenue, and customer satisfaction; leading a team to execute innovative marketing campaigns; conducting market research to identify growth opportunities; building strong partnerships to expand the park’s presence; and establishing benchmarks and metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
- Set the overall sales, marketing, and special events strategy.
- Provide leadership to direct reports, including the marketing, sales, and special events teams.
- Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing, sales, public relations, and special events initiatives that drive attendance, awareness, and revenue.
- Ensure communication among marketing, sales, operations, and guest experience teams.
- Coordinate and oversee relationships with creative agencies, contract vendors, and outside consultants supporting in‑house marketing and design teams.
- Strengthen relationships with internal business units, tenant partners, community leaders, and tourism organizations.
- Oversee annual sales and marketing budget planning and execution.
- Monitor metrics, sales results, campaign effectiveness, and event outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, etc.
- Minimum 7 years in a senior‑level role overseeing sales and marketing within a hospitality, entertainment, or tourism business.
- Proficiency in marketing and marketing management to design and implement innovative campaigns.
- Excellent analytical and decision‑making abilities, with a focus on data‑driven strategies.
- Foster corporate partnerships.
- Proficiency in using marketing and CRM tools to track performance.
- Experience coordinating relationships with creative agencies, marketing vendors, and public relations firms, including contract oversight and project management.
- Proven experience managing large budgets and complex, multi‑channel initiatives.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, event‑driven environment.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
