Overview

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a for-profit Healthcare organization that is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and caring RN Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Wound Care for direct hire. The company provides Nurse Practitioners to Skilled Nursing homes in the Mobile, AL area to work with the facility's nursing team to improve quality care and reduce re-hospitalizations. The Nurse Practitioner will lead a Wound Prevention Program in the facility responsible for screening new admissions, assessments and risks, and implementing precautionary measures.

The NP will support 1 facility, and work about 1–2 days per week. The schedules have some flexibility. This is a part-time position and may grow in the future. The company provides a high level of support (on-going Physician collaboration) and dedicated Scribes for documentation.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner will:

  • Lead the Wound Prevention Program in the facility, including screening new admissions, assessments, risk identification, and implementing precautionary measures.
  • Collaborate with the facility's nursing team to improve quality care and reduce re-hospitalizations.
  • Provide direct patient care and wound management in collaboration with physicians.
  • Train Nursing teams on policies and protocols for the prevention and care of wounds.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (PA Licensed) – board-certified would be ideal.
  • Wound Care certifications are a big plus.
  • At least 1–2+ years of experience in the care and treatment of wounds.
  • In-depth understanding of wound care protocols and treatments.
  • Ability to train Nursing teams on wound prevention and care policies and protocols.
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Homes is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with EMR software.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with Nursing teams.
