Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing home team on the 11:00 PM–7:00 AM Night shift or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM | Evening Shift. The CNA will provide direct resident care, assist with activities of daily living, promote resident dignity and independence, and work closely with nurses and other staff to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and other personal-care needs.
- Assist residents with meals, feeding, and hydration as needed.
- Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident requests.
- Assist residents with walking, transfers, repositioning, and use of mobility equipment.
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in residents' conditions to the nurse.
- Provide incontinence care and maintain residents' cleanliness and comfort.
- Assist residents with their evening and bedtime routines.
- Make beds and maintain clean, orderly resident rooms and common areas.
- Document care provided accurately according to facility procedures.
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional condition.
- Treat every resident with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
- Work cooperatively with nurses, CNAs, dietary staff, housekeeping, and other members of the care team.
- Protect residents' privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of employment.
- Previous nursing home or long-term care experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, lifting, transferring, and repositioning residents.
Schedule:
11:00 PM–7:00 AM | Night Shift
3:00 PM–11:00 PM | Evening Shift
