Quality Improvement Manager — Middleton, WI | Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC)
Do you love turning data into decisions—and problems into progress?
At ETC, we’re looking for a Quality Improvement Manager who thrives on continuous improvement, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and knows how to lead teams to meaningful, lasting quality wins.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive cross-functional, data-driven improvement efforts
—strengthening product and process performance across manufacturing, suppliers, and the field. You’ll help us build quality in from the start—not inspect it in later.
- Drive cross-functional teams to solve systemic product and process issues using structured methods (PDCA, root cause analysis)
- Turn data into insights—identifying trends, prioritizing issues, and ensuring follow-through on actions
- Champion accountability with clear targets, ownership, and sustainment plans
- Lead and evolve our ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Manage corrective actions, audits, nonconformance systems, and quality alerts
- Oversee key quality metrics, including:
- Product performance (field + production)
- Scrap, NCMRs, and top issues by product line
- Supplier performance, PPM, and on-time delivery
- Partner with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to embed prevention early in design and sourcing
- Support supplier selection and development—driving toward “direct to stock” capability
- Manage inspection strategies, pilot runs, audits, and product holds
- Coach and develop Quality team members, including QA leadership, inspectors, and specialists
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Build capability across the organization—not just within QA
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5–10 years of experience in quality, QA/QC, and continuous improvement
- 3–5 years leading and developing teams
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 systems and corrective action processes
- Experience with data analysis, metrology, and manufacturing quality systems
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
At ETC, quality isn’t a department—it’s how we work. You’ll play a critical role in strengthening our systems, developing our people, and ensuring we deliver exceptional performance to our customers worldwide.
If you’re energized by solving problems, coaching people, and building systems that last, we’d love to talk.
