Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Quality Control / Laboratory Technician in the Mobile, AL area.

This position is responsible for supporting a fast-paced, continuous manufacturing operation by collecting samples, performing routine laboratory testing, and ensuring accurate quality data. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and willing to learn, cross-train, and contribute across multiple areas of the operation.

Essential Duties:
  • Perform all duties safely and in compliance with applicable regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Receive, collect, and process laboratory samples.
  • Perform laboratory analyses including particle size, moisture, color, and related testing.
  • Complete daily verification and control checks of measurement systems.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment in proper working condition.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment.
  • Conduct quality inspections of incoming materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
  • Accurately document and report quality data in support of a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing operation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by laboratory management.
Requirements/

Skills:
  • 1–2 years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Ability to identify and analyze problems, develop alternatives, and make sound decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to inform and collaborate across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and moving equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
