Research Technologist - T139

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex and varied laboratory analyses and experiments that require chemical knowledge.
• Perform complex physical and chemical analyses of laboratory samples.
• Prepare and characterize specialized aqueous ionic amine solutions and related mixtures.
• Prepare CO2‑loaded lean and rich samples and mixed‑salt solution systems.
• Measure solution properties, including viscosity, density, heat capacity, and concentration trends.
• Evaluate CO2‑loading‑dependent property changes in laboratory samples.
• Analyze resulting data using quantitative and qualitative techniques.
• Prepare reports of findings as directed; work reviewed by PI for results obtained.
• Record physical and chemical changes during laboratory work.
• Consult with PI/project leader on procedures and evaluation of collected data.
• Assist PI in designing experimental protocols and training lower‑level staff.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
• Work the defined schedule and overtime as required.
• Perform related duties as required.

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
