This position is responsible for:

• Prepares, cooks and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules. Utilizes kitchen equipment, utensils, and supplies in accordance with acceptable and economical cooking methods
• Ensures meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner. Stores foods in safe and economical manner
• Cleans dining area. Cleans kitchen facilities and equipment. Maintains high degree of cleanliness in kitchen and dining area
• Maintain inventory of kitchen food and supplies to meet needs of kitchen. Receive donated goods and processes gifts-in-kind documentation.

• Work is performed in a normal kitchen environment where there may be limited physical discomforts associated with working around hot stoves/ovens or cold freezers.
• Ability to lift, carry, or push/pull light objects (less than 25lbs.)
• Duties are usually performed by frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting.

• High school diploma or equivalent AND
• One year experience cooking food for large groups OR
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• State-Issued Food Handling Certification
• Serv-Safe Certification (or ability to become certified)
• Valid State Drivers License
