This is a full-time on-site role located in Mobile, AL, for a Cook. The Cook will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving meals while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Tasks include adhering to dietary guidelines, ensuring proper storage and preparation of food items, monitoring inventory, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards. The Cook will collaborate with staff to ensure meals meet the needs of individuals and families at the shelter.

• Proficiency in cooking, meal preparation, and following dietary guidelines
• Experience in maintaining kitchen cleanliness, food storage, and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Ability to manage inventory, plan menus, and order supplies as needed
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff
• Understanding of food allergies and special dietary needs is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification is preferred but not required
