Compensation and Commission
$15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Commission is earned on every transaction processed. Pawnbrokers can earn up to 8% on sales, averaging an additional $6.15 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

- Best working hours in the business. Store hours 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; many locations are closed on Sundays.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time retail sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the entire staff to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions across a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics and firearms (in FFL locations).
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
- Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies and regulations.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect.
- Collaborates with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Completes assigned training successfully.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage areas.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Willing to work multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Willing to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan InformationThe commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
