Responsibilities
- Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and clean display areas.
- Oversee stocking and rotation of merchandise, set up displays, and secure fragile or high‑shrink items.
- Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; provide feedback and set clear expectations.
- Tour stores, communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, and introduce company change efforts.
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates and manage customer service initiatives.
- Supervise and train hourly associates, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and recognition programs.
- Control unexplained loss of merchandise and improve profitability through clear performance goals and loss‑prevention policies.
- Conduct operational and pre‑inventory reviews, gather data, audit results, and monitor deficiency trends; communicate corrective actions.
- Investigate violations of company policies, gather evidence, write case reports, and provide testimony as needed.
- Monitor safety and risk controls, supervise safety teams, identify accident trends, and implement prevention plans.
- Manage claims and receiving operations, ensuring proper policies and documentation, and coordinate related activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and support the Open Door policy and other ethical standards.
- Completion of 2years of college.
- Alternatively: 1year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi‑department environment.
- Alternatively: 1year’s experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi‑department environment.
- Alternatively: 2years’ experience in asset protection or related area.
- Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification and/or licensing).
- If applicable, acquisition of a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training.
- Completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U or Bellevue University.
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U or Bellevue University.
- Certification in an asset protection related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified).
- General work experience supervising 5+ direct reports including responsibilities of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
- Investigative experience.
- Bachelor’s degrees in Business or Criminal Justice.
