Retail Sales Lead Front End - Key Holder

OverviewThe Key Carrying Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. With the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Key Carrying Lead is the in‑store expert of their business/department. The Lead is focused on delivering the best service to our customers, providing direction to teammates, and leading by example.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting building and hiring a strong team by observing in‑store interviews and department tours.
- Building a people‑first culture by connecting with every teammate in the store to build mutual trust, respect, and contribute to a strong store recognition culture.
- Planning, organizing, and controlling 30‑day schedules with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager.
- Strategically leveraging teammates to ensure brand standards are met and tasks are delegated based on priority.
- Assisting the store leadership team with general supervision, including opening and closing the store, performing Front End and Cash Office functions, and processing firearms sales in compliance with regulations, where applicable.
- Upholding company merchandising and presentation standards, following floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards.
- Assisting with training teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross‑training current teammates.
- Maintaining loss prevention standards and controls in the department.
- Prioritizing coaching and development, providing hands‑on coaching and explaining the “why” behind tasks, plans, and processes.
- Leading by example to support the vision of the organization, helping teammates understand how responsibilities align to goals, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
- Creating an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and safe and is treated with respect.
- Adhering to established safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, and maintaining confidentiality of all company information.
- Supporting the team across the store with an all‑hands‑on‑deck approach.

- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior retail sales experience (or customer‑focused experience) preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift 15–35 lbs. repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
