This position is responsible for:

• Manages the day-to-day Family Store operations which include staffing, facilities, and processes related to donation intake, donation processing, donation pricing, donation presentation for final sale, and point of sale.
• Schedules staff and volunteers to ensure all Family Store functions are adequately covered during operational periods.
• Ensures the successful operation of the Family Store program for the primary purpose of generating significant weekly, monthly, and annual profits.

• Manages resources, personnel, donations, and processes for optimal results to equate to consistent ongoing profits.
• Analyzes store sales data. Determines pricing and stock needs based on sales data and donation intake. Ensures that stock is routinely rotated and ensures that prices encourage the desired level of stock turnover and profit margin.
• Prepares and balances the cash drawer and runs routine register print-outs to investigate errors and overages/shortages. Prepares and delivers bank deposits. Ensures the security and accountability of all cash register funds and sales records in accordance with established operating procedures.

• Work is performed in a normal store environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather. Internal temperatures can be high with occasional discomforts associated with dust, noise, crowds, and the like.

• High School Diploma or GED with one-year equivalent college coursework in business, finance, or similar field.
• Two years of successful experience in a field where generating and sustaining profit is required, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
• Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
