Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home;
Food Service Director;
Market Grille Department Manager;
Assistant Market Grille Department Manager;
Service Managers.
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service, showing care and patience in all interactions.
- Smile and greet customers, and address them by name whenever possible.
- Assist customers with locating products, carrying heavy items, and passing along suggestions or requests.
- Answer the telephone promptly and take customer orders.
- Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter.
- Work with co‑workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
- Review orders for the day and handle food safely.
- Check the status and appearance of food for freshness.
- Ensure an adequate food supply is ready and on hand; follow or develop a production list.
- Anticipate product needs daily and replenish products as necessary.
- Pull product from cooler/freezer for cooking, check in products, put items away, and review invoices.
- Run the department registers, receive payment, and make change.
- Remove trash promptly and maintain strict adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines.
- Report to work on schedule and on time.
- Wash dishes as necessary.
- Order product and supplies as needed.
- Price products for customers as required.
- Deliver orders as needed.
- Assist in other store areas as requested.
- Perform other job‑related duties and special projects as required.
- Follow written or verbal instructions and manage limited variables.
- Perform simple addition and subtraction, including copying figures and recording counts.
- Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing.
No education requirement. Six months or less of similar or related work experience.
Physical Requirements- Perform medium work: exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
- Perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Store environment with pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Exposure to noise, equipment movement hazards, cleaning chemicals or solvents, potential electrical shock, and temperature extremes.
- Standard kitchen equipment: disposal, trash compactor, slicer, Hobart machine, grill, fryer, dishwasher, register system, ovens, rotisserie, knives, label maker, and company vehicle.
Daily contact with the general public and customers; contact with federal or state regulatory agencies for inspections.
CompensationThe anticipated hourly starting wage is $11.50 to $14.40 depending on experience.
