What You Will Do
  • The HVAC Service Sales Rep is critical to the overall growth and profitability of the HVAC Service business.
  • Initiate, establish, and build profitable service relationships between new customers and Johnson Controls, focusing on selling renewable maintenance agreements.
  • Work within an assigned geographic territory as part of a local branch office, collaborating with sales and operations professionals.
  • Use sales tools to plan and document progress and increase business opportunities in current accounts, with expected monthly business closures.
How You Will Do It
  • Follow a disciplined process to identify, target, and qualify prospective new customers.
  • Contact prospective customers, schedule appointments, and build a referral network.
  • Conduct sales calls designed to identify key issues for Facility Directors.
  • Propose solutions through creative and innovative application of local branch service capabilities, focusing on renewable maintenance agreements and digital service offerings, sustainability, and decarbonization.
  • Review and finalize proposals, secure commitments, conduct kick‑off meetings, resolve issues, and support collections.
  • Maintain service agreements and extend them as appropriate.
  • Use Johnson Controls  for progress tracking and communicate with management.
  • Develop and implement territory marketing plans aligned with business strategy.
  • Attend trade shows and participate in professional organizations.
  • Represent Johnson Controls with high standards of quality, pride, integrity, and performance.
Required
  • Previous progressive sales roles.
  • Exposure to sales methodologies and disciplines.
  • Strong presentation skills, able to captivate in individual and group communications.
Preferred
  • Aptitude for technical knowledge with high attention to detail.
  • Experience selling services and intangibles.
  • Knowledge of building HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in
  • Post‑secondary education.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $55,. Salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market data. This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan based on volume, margin, and sales performance.
