Job Overview
Field Sales Representative, Electronic Fire Service – responsible for selling electronic services (moves, adds and changes) to assigned customers within a designated territory.
Responsibilities- Represent the Company in the promotion and sale of Electronic Fire Service offerings to customers and end users.
- Manage the entire sales process from uncovering opportunities to closing sales.
- Develop solution/value propositions, prepare designs, create contracts, negotiate terms, and close opportunities.
- Provide ongoing customer service through service delivery and after-sale support.
- Coordinate installation, customer training, and other services to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Identify and qualify opportunities with strong sales, presentation, and closing techniques.
- Conduct building surveys and develop estimates, proposals, and financial justifications.
- Maintain an active proposal backlog to meet sales plan objectives.
- Investigate and resolve customer issues regarding delivery, billing, financing, etc.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales‑related activities and provide periodic market investigations and forecasting.
- Highly self‑motivated and success driven with high energy level focused toward customers.
- Strong written and oral communication, good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to persuade and close sales.
- Minimum two years of successful sales or technical experience with fire alarms, security control, monitoring, or similar industry.
- Ability to obtain appropriate licenses required by national, state, local codes.
- Maximum ability to obtain NICET certification within first 12 months.
- Preference for Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering.
- Experience working with electrical contractors, reading blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Computer experience with Word, Excel and job costing systems; familiarity with Microsoft and Oracle programs preferred.
Hiring salary range: $61,400 – $92,300. The role also includes a competitive sales incentive plan based on volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis.
