Veterinary District Sales Manager – Royal Canin
Location:
Pensacola (Panama City, FL; Andalusia, Mobile, AL; and Biloxi, MS areas). Field based role – must live within territory.
The Veterinary District Sales Manager is accountable for executing the Vet Business Unit strategy and achieving business objectives/KPI’s by delivering account‑specific sales goals. This role identifies clinic opportunities, leverages sales data, and works cross‑functionally to grow relevance, access to clinics, and Vet recommendation within the assigned geography. This is an individual contributor role.
What we are looking for- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably B2B
- Veterinary clinic experience preferred
- Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written)
- Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20‑30%+ travel
- Translate knowledge of our products, categories, customers, and clinic data into business opportunities
- Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and leveraging it to grow clinics within the assigned geography
- Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision‑makers within the assigned geography
- Develop and deliver compelling, data‑driven presentations to address the unique needs of Veterinary staff
- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups across the BU & organization, balancing the needs and interests of internal and external stakeholders (Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts, Scientific Affairs)
- Build partnerships and collaborate with others to meet shared objectives
- Effectively execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy
- Work in a cross‑functional, team‑based environment; adept at operating in highly fluid, complex, and ever‑changing environments
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and adjust strategies, tactics, and investments based on changing needs to maximize territory performance
- Budget and reporting: manage an expense and sales budget, complete CRM call reports, expense reports and presentations in a timely and accurate manner
