Role Overview

Security Engineers seeks dedicated Unarmed Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers deter incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have or obtain a Valid ASRB License
• Required to have a TWIC Card
• Must be at least 18 years old

Duties & Responsibilities

Candidate is required to complete a mandatory 24‑hour MSHA training course before assignment.

• Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concerns
• Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials
• Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity

• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol
• Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents
• Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)

• Assist visitors and employees professionally
• Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols
• Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)

Minimum

• Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
• Weekend availability
• Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations
• Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting

Preferred

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

• Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without break
• Walk a minimum of half mile without stopping
• Climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping

Minimum

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• 1+ year of verifiable security, law‑enforcement or military experience
• 2+ years of verifiable customer service experience
