You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry, ensuring customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.
Location:
30101 State HWY 59, Loxley, AL 36551
- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
- Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
- Perform preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires—and complete vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
- Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
- Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Team‑oriented and able to work independently.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding and compliance with Penske management instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and safety policies (DOT, OSHA, etc.).
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
- Regulated by the Department of Transportation and requires a current driver qualification file; CDL holders must maintain DOT drug screening and FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
- Willingness to work the required schedule, complete background screening, pass drug screen, physical, and travel within a near geography for training.
- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate tools or controls on a routine basis.
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
- Work safely in all weather conditions.
- Navigate the workplace with frequent movement of large trucks; sight and hearing necessary.
- Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg); push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs.
Pay : $21.75
Hours :
Monday‑Friday 2:30 pm‑11:00 pm
