TREE TRIMMER

Requirements

Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, and a minimum of one year work experience, preferably in tree trimming; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.

Special Requirement: Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence and obtain a commercial driver's license with appropriate endorsements, including air brake endorsement, if applicable, within the first six months of employment.

Manual work in the trimming of trees and performing related labor activities.

Salary by jurisdiction:

• CITY OF MOBILE $33,263 - $53,176* (Amended 10/24/2023)
• CITY OF CHICKASAW $21,372 - $33,156* (Amended 3/20/2024)

• 10 days annual vacation with accumulation to 35 days (maximum 25 days per year after 25 years of service)
