Summary:

The Service Technician will perform repair work and maintenance for equipment and parts.

• Diagnose mechanical defects and determine extent of needed repair in tractors, skid steers, track loaders, cranes, mowers, forklifts, rollers, compactors, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, scrapers, excavators and other diesel and gas-powered agricultural, construction and turf equipment, to include handheld equipment.
• Weld and fabricate.
• Diagnose and repair automotive-style air conditioning systems.
• Perform diagnostics on CAN Bus systems.
• Diagnose, repair, and replace electrical wiring.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on hydraulic systems, including but not limited to pumps, motors, and cylinders.
• Electronically documents repairs fully in a clearly understood manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Basic computing skills including Microsoft Office.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of equipment repair.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to read parts manuals and correctly select parts needed for equipment repairs.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self- starter and positive attitude.

• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, unassisted.
• Work in confined spaces.
• Could be required to stand for long periods of time.
