Title: Marine Electrician
Location: Mobile Al & Pascagoula MS
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Day Shift / Night Shift / Overtime
Pay: $30- $40 hr
Position SummaryWe are seeking skilled Marine Electricians to support shipbuilding, repair, and maintenance projects in a shipyard environment. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing marine electrical systems aboard commercial, naval, or industrial vessels. Candidates should be able to work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair marine electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Install and terminate cable, conduit, panels, switchboards, lighting, motors, and control systems
- Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and system diagnostics
- Inspect and repair electrical components aboard vessels and shipyard facilities
- Route and secure wiring and cables according to marine standards and specifications
- Ensure all work complies with shipyard safety procedures, electrical codes, and project requirements
- Work with production teams, engineers, and supervisors to complete projects on time
- Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas
- Work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and aboard active vessels as required
- 3+ years of marine electrical experience
- Shipyard or marine vessel experience required
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with AC/DC systems, motor controls, switchboards, and marine power distribution systems
- Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and testing equipment
- Familiarity with marine electrical codes, NAVSEA standards, and shipyard safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Marine Electrical or NAVSEA Certifications
