Job Description:
* Proficient in TIG, GMAW, and SMAW.
* Ability to work in 6G and 6GR positions.
* Weld in open as well as tight, restricted areas.
* Perform grinding and pick up work as needed.
* Must be able to set up welding equipment, dial in gear for optimal performance and perform a drop test.
* Must be able to set up welding gear aboard ships using long leads.
* Must have a thorough knowledge of various metals characteristics and qualities including the correct welding processes required and the effects of welding on the material.
Job Requirements:
* Must have reliable/own transportation.
* Must successfully pass an extensive welding test based on specific welding applications.
* 5 Years minimum welding experience in the Marine Industry as 1st Class.
* 11 panel Drug Screen.
* Comfortable with heights and in confined spaces.
* Lift 50lbs without assistance.
* Must understand the layout of the ship and compartment identification Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
