What You Will Do
  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, and service HVAC control systems to ensure building efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Programming, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on HVAC controls systems (mechanical, electrical & low voltage components).
  • Respond to service and warranty calls using JCI software, configuration tools, and testing equipment.
  • Provide frontline repair support and clear technical communication to customers.
  • Deliver system repair & upgrade recommendations while assisting in solution proposals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by solving inefficiencies and recommending solutions in real-time.
  • Load and configure Johnson Controls field & network-level controller software.
  • Perform commissioning & diagnostics on system controllers and end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.).
  • Calibrate systems with standard electronic test equipment.
  • Document changes, update as-built documentation, and complete commissioning reports.
  • Communicate effectively with management, contractors, and customers on project progress and issues.
  • Execute ongoing training (company-sponsored & self-directed) to stay at the top of your field.
  • Provide recommendations, quotes, and upsell opportunities to ensure customer facilities run at peak efficiency.
  • Uphold the highest safety standards on every project site.
What We Look For

Required Qualifications
  • Controls experience is required.
  • Completion of a vocational school (4-year program) or Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical systems, Computer technology, Air conditioning, or 2+ years of industry experience servicing HVAC electronic/mechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequences, and applications.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical & electro-mechanical fields.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment (multimeter).
  • Solid knowledge of personal computer applications.
  • High attention to detail, with strong communication & listening skills.
