LocationField‑based:
Work is conducted on‑site at customer locations. Prioritize engaging with customers; when not directly interacting, collaborate with colleagues in the office.
- Install building automation systems, interpreting control drawings, plans, and specifications for temperature control systems including conduit, enclosures, wiring, and end devices.
- Prepare for on‑site installation by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating with other trades.
- Maintain inventory, company equipment, and documentation of all related activities.
- Document work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration, and maintain files.
- Submit required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
- Serve as the direct customer contact, servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction through diagnosis and repair.
- Keep current with Trane products for installation of direct digital control systems.
- Inspect vehicles, maintain records of service, and schedule repairs.
- Inspect tools and equipment for signs of wear.
- Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company‑issued assets.
- Travel regularly with occasional overnight stays.
- Display team effort and dedication to customers, maintaining flexibility for overtime and weeks as the business requires, including overnight stays.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; at least 2‑5 years of HVAC/Controls experience. Technical school or formal training preferred.
- Electrical and/or mechanical experience welcomed.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld computers (smartphone, iPad).
- Knowledge of low‑voltage electricity, electronics (board‑level troubleshooting), direct digital controls, and building control techniques.
- Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with a clean driving record (no major or frequent traffic violations).
Hourly: $22.59 – $30.67
