Commercial Refrigeration and Cooking Equipment Technician

Summary

The Service Technician II provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration (grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach‑in and walk‑in coolers, freezers, etc.).

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking kitchen equipment and refrigeration.
• Communicate status updates for part orders and repairs to branch support and customers.
• Complete service calls accurately and timely.
• Audit truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensure service vehicle, tools, and uniforms meet Whaley safety standards.
• Meet on‑call requirements.

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and/or refrigeration.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that aligns with safety standards.

• Ability to work independently.
• Accurate diagnosis and troubleshooting skills; automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background a plus.
• Journeyman license and/or CFESA certification not required but a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record.

Pay Rate: $28.00–$35.00 per hour*
