Cable Technician II

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Cable Technician II to install, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems.

• Contract position based out of Mobile, AL
• Pay: $22.00/hr
• Per Diem: $178/day for food and lodging
• Schedule:
  
  M-F 10-hour days / 50 hours a week

• Install and terminate CAT3 and CAT5 cabling, jacks, faceplates, and surface-mount boxes
• Build and organize telecom closets including racks, patch panels, fiber hardware, and grounding
• Perform cable testing and troubleshooting using toners, meters, and continuity tools
• Identify active voice and data circuits
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
• Follow all safety and quality standards

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work on ladders, in ceilings, and in confined spaces
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds
• Ability to distinguish cable colors and read small print
• Reliable attendance and a professional attitude
• Willingness to travel within the region as needed

Per Diem: $178/day for food and lodging.

This is a fully onsite position in Mobile, AL.
