Compensation: $32.00 to $40.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Superintendent to lead commercial and industrial electrical construction projects within the Mobile, AL area. This is a working field leadership position for someone who can lead crews, coordinate jobsite execution, maintain safety and quality standards, and stay actively involved in electrical installation work.

This position is responsible for electrical field execution, manpower coordination, safety, quality, scheduling support, customer coordination, inspections, punch list completion, and apprentice development. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead electrical professional on assigned projects.
  • Actively participate in installation of conduit, wiring, panels, switch gear, lighting, controls, and related electrical systems.
  • Lead crews by example through hands-on involvement in daily field operations.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of Journeymen, Apprentices, and Helpers.
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and provide immediate field solutions.
  • Review plans, specifications, submittals, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, and schedule updates with Project Managers.
  • Serve as the primary field contact for customers, inspectors, vendors, and other trades.
  • Enforce OSHA, company, customer, and jobsite safety requirements.
  • Ensure all work meets project specifications, NEC requirements, applicable codes, and workmanship standards.
  • Coordinate inspections, punch list completion, and project closeout activities.
  • Maintain safe, productive, and organized jobsites.
  • Daily use of Pro Core
Apprentice Development and Mentorship
  • Serve as a primary mentor and trainer for apprentices and entry-level electricians.
  • Teach installation methods, tool usage, safety practices, trade knowledge, and professional jobsite conduct.
  • Provide meaningful learning opportunities while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Evaluate apprentice progress and provide feedback to company leadership.
  • Promote continuous improvement and professional growth among all team members.
  • Support the development of future Journeymen, Superintendents, and company leaders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of field leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC requirements, electrical systems, controls, power distribution, and construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and schedules.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including occasional overnight stays.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
