Service Technician – Commercial DDC Controls

Walters Controls is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to support and expand our growing commercial DDC service operations. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on experience in building automation systems who wants to build a long‑term career in service while being part of a division that is actively being built and expanded. You will have the opportunity to grow with the company and play a role in shaping how our service department operates.

• Perform service, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial DDC control systems
• Diagnose system issues including controllers, sensors, networks, and field devices
• Execute system startups, commissioning support, and point-to-point verification
• Perform preventative maintenance and system optimization
• Communicate with customers to explain issues and solutions clearly
• Document service activities, deficiencies, and recommendations
• Assist in identifying service opportunities and upgrades
• Work closely with engineering and project teams when needed

• Experience with commercial DDC systems (Niagara, Honeywell, Schneider, etc.)
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and sequences of operation
• Ability to troubleshoot controls, wiring, and communication networks (BACnet, Modbus, etc.)
• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
