Electrician/ Electrician Installation, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
SLB is seeking a proactive Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. In this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and control systems that support safe and reliable operations. You will play a key role in equipment uptime by performing preventive maintenance, supporting installations, and ensuring compliance with applicable electrical and safety standards.
We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving, works well in a team environment, and takes pride in maintaining high operational and safety standards. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to facility reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities- Inspect, test, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, motor control, and contactor control issues to minimize downtime.
- Install and modify electrical equipment, wiring, and components to support operational requirements.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance activities.
- Maintain compliance with electrical codes, company policies, and safety requirements.
- Document maintenance activities and equipment repairs accurately.
- Communicate equipment conditions and replacement needs to management.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to support safe and efficient operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship preferred.
- Journeyman Card required.
- Certification as an Electrical Technician is an asset.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or commercial environment.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, motor controls, and industrial troubleshooting practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to lift equipment and climb stairs as required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
