Position: Service Technician – Commercial DDC Controls
Location: Mobile, Alabama
Duration: Direct Hire
Pay Range: $60,000 to $75,000 USD

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to support and expand our growing commercial DDC service operations. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in building automation systems who is looking to build a long-term career in service while being part of a division that is actively being built and expanded. Candidates will have the opportunity to grow with the company and play a role in shaping how the service department operates.
Responsibilities- Perform service, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial DDC control systems.
- Diagnose system issues including controllers, sensors, networks, and field devices.
- Execute system startups, commissioning support, and point-to-point verification.
- Perform preventative maintenance and system optimization.
- Communicate with customers to explain issues and solutions clearly.
- Document service activities, deficiencies, and recommendations.
- Assist in identifying service opportunities and upgrades.
- Work closely with engineering and project teams when needed.
- Experience with commercial DDC systems (Niagara, Honeywell, Schneider, etc.).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and sequences of operation.
- Ability to troubleshoot controls, wiring, and communication networks (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience with commercial DDC systems (Niagara, Honeywell, Schneider, etc.).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and sequences of operation.
- Ability to troubleshoot controls, wiring, and communication networks (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
