The Maintenance Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mobile, AL. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on building systems, equipment, and apartment units, including inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks. Daily responsibilities include responding to service requests, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, coordinating with vendors as needed, and ensuring that common areas and resident units are safe, clean, and fully operational.

The role also involves maintaining maintenance logs, following safety and regulatory guidelines, assisting with unit turns and renovations, and communicating clearly with property management and residents regarding work status and timelines.

• Strong equipment maintenance skills, including the ability to service building systems and tools.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing issues.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs for multifamily or commercial properties.
• Hands-on maintenance and repair abilities across HVAC, appliances, fixtures, and general building components.
• Background in industrial or facilities maintenance is beneficial.
• Knowledge of safety practices, building codes, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Ability to prioritize work orders, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with residents and team members.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing are a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, work on ladders, and perform physical tasks as required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as needed for site-related tasks.
