This contract opportunity calls for two dedicated School Psychologists to serve on-site in a pivotal role, collaborating with students and staff throughout the district. Key Qualifications- Active Alabama School Psychology license required (documentation will be requested)
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in K-12 educational settings
- Familiarity with a range of psychological assessments and intervention techniques
- Ability to travel as needed among schools within the district as assignments develop
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and committed to best practices in student support
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and participate in multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver evidence-based recommendations and interventions for students and educators
- Contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related documentation
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Consult and collaborate regularly with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Maintain accurate records and deliver timely reports
- Potential to support schools as an itinerant psychologist based on testing demands
The position starts October 1, 2026, concluding at the end of May 2027, with potential renewal for summer or the following academic year based on performance.
