Software Test Engineer

INCATech is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support a Department of Justice customer in Huntsville, Alabama. The selected candidate will help ensure that a modernized enterprise software application meets established standards for quality, reliability, usability, and performance. This role will support manual and automated testing, defect tracking, regression testing, usability testing, and CI/CD testing activities.

• Design and implement test plans, test scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
• Work with the development team to debug code, correct errors, and troubleshoot software issues.
• Document software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to developers.
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screens, or content.
• Develop testing programs covering database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, defect retesting, and usability.
• Incorporate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Participate in product design reviews and document test procedures to support repeatability and compliance with standards.

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant software testing or quality assurance experience.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in IT from an accredited institution (optional).
• Certifications:
  
  AWS Certified Machine Learning (optional).
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience with AWS.
