As a Fleet Maintenance Fueler Washer at Penske, you’ll fuel, wash, and ensure vehicles are clean and safe before they hit the road. You’ll be the face of Penske—the person greeting our customers when they arrive and the one sending them off with a smile.

Main Responsibilities- Greet customers and ensure they have a great experience as you fuel and wash vehicles
- Perform vehicle readiness inspections to ensure tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items are completed
- Help keep facilities clean and safe for customers and associates
- Build skills through training and hands-on coaching to perform minor repairs such as installing mounted tires, replacing or rotating tires, and performing preventive maintenance
- Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

- High school diploma, equivalent, or prior work experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors
- Basic mechanical ability and tool usage (preferred)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to understand and comply with Penske’s instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations
- Compliance with DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool and PPE use
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
- Because the role involves driving Penske and customer vehicles, a current driver qualification file is required per DOT. This includes an annual MVR check, a completed DOT physical, and Safety Performance History records from prior employers in the last 3 years. CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and FMCSA Clearinghouse review
- Willingness to work the required schedule and location, complete Penske employment application, submit to background screening (criminal checks, past employment and education), pass a drug screen and physical as required by DOT, and potential travel within a near geography for training
This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company. The ability to work with constant alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.

- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods
- Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate required tools or controls
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Work safely in all weather conditions
- Regularly see and hear to navigate the work environment due to frequent truck movement
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally; ability to push/pull tires over 100 lbs as required
