Job Summary
Airbus US Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, AL is seeking a Flight Test Dispatcher II to join the Final Assembly Line. The role requires a self‑starter who works independently, balancing crew scheduling, resource planning, and flight‑test coordination to support the A220 and A320 programs.
Responsibilities- Dispatch A220/A320/A321 test flights in accordance with FAA/TCCA/EASA regulations and Airbus Flight Test policies.
- Provide detailed crew briefings (including customer crews) covering weather, ATC flight plan, NOTAMS, atmospheric conditions, and airspace concerns such as SUA, ATC capacity, and TFR information.
- Plan resources and schedule crew across stakeholders to support A220 & A320 programs.
- Manage the TSA waiver program for both A220 & A320 and the Customer Experience team.
- Support Sustainability initiatives by increasing SAF usage during flight‑test events and tracking key performance indicators.
- Maintain liaison relationships with Mobile Airport Authorities (MAA) and Air Traffic Control (ATC).
- Administer Airbus Logbook (ALB) and act as the SMS delegate of 1V for Flight Test OPS Mobile.
- Develop and maintain dispatch guidelines, operating procedures, and training procedures.
- Organize and oversee Flight OPS planning meetings.
- Annually evaluate aircraft evacuation locations for severe weather events such as hurricanes.
- Develop robust apron control guidelines to deconflict aircraft movements.
- Coordinate TSA waiver submissions and modifications.
- Use flight‑planning software such as Nav Blue or similar and conduct communication tests with aircraft.
- Handle Domestic and International travel (10%) and coordinate international ferry flight departure with US Customs and Border Protection.
- Collaborate closely with MAA Operations, FAA, ATC, and Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCC).
- High School Diploma required.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a flight operations department.
- FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certification holder required; FAA aircraft dispatcher certificate holder preferred.
- FAA airspace, route, terminal, and proficiency regulations and NOTAM comprehension required.
- Ability to complete and pass required Airbus training.
- Self‑motivated, proactive communication skills for senior‑level management.
- Fluent in English required; knowledge of French, German, or Spanish is a plus.
- Prior experience in a Flight Test department and with flight‑planning software like Nav Blue is preferred.
- Travel capability of 10% domestic and international.
