• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Must have a valid Class A CDL from the state you reside in
• Must meet all applicable DOT regulations, including a DOT physical and drug testing
• Must pass an integrity interview and meet Melton?s work attendance and availability requirements

• Recent CDL graduates must use their Class A CDL within 6 months of graduation
• All other drivers must have used their Class A CDL within the past 12 months

Melton has a military apprenticeship program where we offer former military members and active‑duty reservists the opportunity to use their GI Bill® benefits while enrolled in our 24‑month flatbed training program for veterans, recognized by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Labor. The program is based on the Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) in Birmingham, AL.
