The Part Time Yard Operation Supervisor is responsible for managing the coordination between the operation of dispatching, vehicle management, safety and other yard activities.
Duties
- Manage daily chassis inventory at the GET Mobile Yard, ensuring clear segregation between TRLZ and GUSK units.
- Prepare and submit a daily yard inventory report, including chassis number, status, and physical location.
- Maintain and submit a weekly repair log detailing repair history, vendors, and associated costs.
- Coordinate and arrange emergency repairs required prior to chassis dispatch.
- Process red-tagged chassis at the yard level in accordance with inspection findings and company procedures.
- Provide support for chassis photographs and GPS status verification upon request.
- Prepare and issue chassis release forms and communicate all related information to the GUS Asset Management team.
- Ensure the yard, yard office, and all yard equipment are maintained in a safe, clean, and fully functional condition at all times.
- Track, record, and manage yard-related invoices and payments in coordination with the appropriate internal teams.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or yard management within a warehouse environment with a focus on inventory management and logistics
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and other inventory control tools
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and mechanical equipment used in heavy materials handling
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively in fast-paced settings while maintaining high safety standards
- Background in e-commerce logistics or 3PL operations is highly desirable
- Mechanical aptitude combined with strong organizational skills to support process improvements and operational excellence
Working Hours:
Approximately 4 hours per day, 5 days per week. Schedule may be flexible and can be
arranged with the manager.
