Position: Data Center Kitting Supervisor (Thursday-Sunday: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM)

Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting, and customer communication activities daily. This includes labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower management, hiring and training, performance appraisals, and problem resolution. The role supports the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager in overseeing the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products to meet service and cost objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities and plan continuous improvement.
  • Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical operational issues.
  • Develop systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably.
  • Implement and report on ongoing cost‑saving measures and suggest efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with client‑specified KPIs and quality system requirements.
  • Apply communication and motivational techniques to supervise, counsel, and, when needed, discipline team members.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and professional development; participate in performance evaluation and HR activities.
  • Plan daily work schedules based on work orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions.
  • Organize warehouse space, staffing levels, and supplies according to pending jobs and trends.
  • Train new staff and assess trainee progress, adding duties as appropriate.
  • Monitor quantity and quality of work performed throughout the day, providing guidance and advice.
  • Assign supervisory duties to experienced staff who lead lower‑level employees.
  • Keep management advised of progress or issues requiring attention on a daily basis.
  • Hold regular meetings with warehouse staff to assess overall status and discuss improvement ideas.
  • Assist in physical operations as needed.
  • Deliver results by leveraging the right people at the right time.
  • Maintain high motivation among team members to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide growth and development opportunities for team members.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Support adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train team members on corporate and client SOPs.
Skills & Abilities Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of experience in a logistics, distribution, or related environment.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Preferred: MHE certification or basic MHE operation knowledge.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
  • Completion of a forklift training program.
Computer Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with RF scanners and WMS functions.
Language Skills
  • English (reading, writing, verbal).
  • Business communication proficiency.
Mathematical Skills
  • Basic to intermediate level for verifying product quantities, counting inventory, and other related duties.
Other Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with timely completion of tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and personnel skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.

Benefits and Compensation

Base pay: $65,000 – $75,000 annually, plus a performance‑based bonus program. Health benefits include medical, prescription, dental, vision, and life insurance; flexible and health spending accounts; short‑term and long‑term disability coverage; and wellness resources. 401(k) plan with company matching up to 5%. Paid time off, paid holidays, and additional floating holidays are provided.
