Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Trauma Coordinator & Emergency Department/Critical Care Supervisor to lead trauma program operations while supporting clinical and operational oversight of the Emergency Department and critical care services in a rural Critical Access Hospital.
This leadership role combines trauma coordination, quality improvement, staff education, and clinical support. The position serves as a resource to nursing staff, providers, and EMS partners and helps ensure safe stabilization and transfer of patients across all levels of acuity.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and maintain the hospital trauma program and trauma registry
- Conduct chart reviews, performance improvement, and regulatory readiness activities
- Provide leadership support and clinical guidance in ED and critical care
- Assist with high-acuity patient care and transfers when needed
- Facilitate staff education and competencies
- Collaborate with EMS and regional referral facilities
- Monitor quality metrics (trauma, chest pains, etc.)
- Participate in staffing support and department operations
- Current RN license
- 3+ years Emergency or Critical Care experience required
- Leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to function independently in high acuity situations
(BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and NRP)
