We are seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Associate to play a pivotal role in enhancing our tax systems and processes. In this crucial position, you'll prepare tax returns and reports, ensure compliance with FASB 109 for Tax Provision, maintain detailed tax records, respond to queries from tax authorities, support audit processes, and conduct tax research to keep our practices ahead of the curve.
You will also prepare statistical and financial reports, implement strategic tax initiatives, and foster a culture of intrapreneurship and ownership within the team. - Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of Tax or Accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Gallo Tax or Accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Required to be 18 years or older.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting plus 5 years of tax or accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting concentration) plus 8 years of tax or accounting experience reflecting increasing levels or responsibility.
- CPA license.
- Big 4 Tax or Accounting experience.
- CCH Income Tax Software.
- One Source (Tax Stream) Provision Software.
- SAP General Ledger System.
- RIA/BNA Online Research Software.
- Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Experience writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Skilled in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume; skilled in applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Skilled in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions; skilled in interpreting extensive technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Skilled in performing work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult in character, usually involving limited responsibility, requiring frequent evaluation, originality and ingenuity.
- Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of this field of specialization.
