Nature of Work

This is accounting and supervisory work in the Comptroller's Office with responsibility for the accounts payable and associated financial records for all departments. Work includes supervising support staff, developing and implementing payables accounting processes and procedures, maintaining and reconciling payables accounts and general journal entries, reviewing and auditing payments and encumbrances, and preparing financial reports and statements. Work is performed under the general direction of the Deputy Controller.

Possession of a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and two years of accounts payable experience, including supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
