- Prepare, examine, and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
- Collaborate with department heads to track expenses and optimize resource allocation.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, reports, and documentation.
- Responsible for reconciling certain general ledgers, bank statements, and balance sheet accounts.
- Analyze financial data and managing employee and business expenses.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements for management and tax reporting.
- Supporting the preparation of business tax returns and ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills
