Requirements / QualificationsGraduation from High School or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate;
Modesto City Schools Clerical Assessment Certificate. Typing Certificates must contain all of the following information:
Name of person being tested, Gross words typed per minute, Net words typed per minute, Name of testing agency/center, Date of test, Name of person verifying test. The above requirements are to provide all applicants with the same testing environment and the same standard of scoring tests. ACCEPTABLE TEST CENTERS:
1. College or University Test Center (not a certificate obtained through a course) 2. Employment Agency (i.e., Pride Staff, Kelly Services, etc.) 3. Modesto City Schools (Clerical Assessment Certificate)
- Proof of HS Graduation
- Typing Certificate (Typing Certificate or MCS Clerical Assessment Certificate MUST be attached to your application in order to be considered for this position.)
CalPERS retirees cannot be in an on-call substitute pool. Violations could include repayment of your retirement benefits to PERS (reference CalPERS Publication 33 - Employment after retirement). To comply with PERS, we are not able to have retirees as active substitutes. All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications (i.e., experience, education, etc.) as listed on the job description in order to be considered for an interview.
