A Taste of What You'll DoWe're looking for a dynamic, strategic leader to join our team as Director of Sales Planning. In this role, you will drive process development, goal setting, and organizational methodology for US Sales and our Business Units, ensuring seamless collaboration across the winery and fostering strong cross-functional relationships. You will be a key connector between Sales, Business Units, Supply Chain, and Finance, aligning priorities and ensuring all programs meet legal and compliance standards.
As the Director of Sales Planning, you will lead the design and execution of sales strategies, annual planning processes, and routes to market for new items. You'll oversee product launches, sales allocation processes, and business intelligence activities, ensuring the voice of Sales is represented in strategic decisions. Your leadership will bring consistency to processes across Business Units, establish best practices, and support innovation in the commercialization of products.
This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders, and a passion for building teams that can execute with excellence. You'll work closely with senior leaders, contribute to national sales meetings, and represent the company with key partners, distributors, and industry stakeholders. Your efforts will help maximize sales, optimize costs, and maintain our competitive position through thoughtful coordination, strategic insights, and a culture of innovation.

What You'll Need- Master's degree plus 6 years of winery sales or distributor management experience to include supervisory/managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or Bachelor's degree and 8 years of winery sales or distributor management experience to include supervisory/managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of winery sales or distributor management experience to include supervisory/managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Strong understanding of Gallo winery sales network and alcohol beverage industry.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales experience to include a prior director level rotation within Gallo winery sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or Master's degree plus 8 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales experience to include a prior director level rotation within Gallo winery sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Gallo Sales/Distributor management experience;
Certified Specialist of Wine and Certified Specialist of Spirits certification. - Skilled in statistical analysis, problem solving, influencing, negotiation, communication with all levels, and leading change.
- Experience successfully staffing, developing, and leading teams in a dynamic environment while addressing both strategic issues and daily operational needs.
