A Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a part-time, as needed, non-exempt position responsible for direct, ‘front line’ contact with patrons and the community, whether by telephone or in person. Selling tickets, providing information, serving as a help desk for website questions, serving as a parking attendant at our 12th St. parking garage, and verifying vaccination status or negative PCR tests, are the bulk of a CSR’s day-to-day activities.
A CSR must be totally committed to superior customer service and fulfilling the Gallo Center’s mission. Performing these functions with high integrity and strict fiscal responsibility is mandatory.
A Customer Service Representative will:
- Report to work on time and ready to work at the scheduled times
- Adhere to the Policies and Procedure Manual at all times
- Represent the Gallo Center for the Arts in a professional manner
- Adhere to any dress regulations that may be required
- Be speedy, efficient, and accurate with all transactions, whether financial or informational
- Participate in all training sessions, both initial and ongoing
- Be responsible for learning about artists and events as fully as possible
- Assist in building lists of contacts for the group sales effort
- Be very familiar with the Gallo Center for the Arts and directions to the venue
- Participate in all incentive and reward programs
- Openly work toward maintaining a team spirit in the Ticket Office
- Process all types of ticket transactions, including but not limited to subscriptions, single tickets and group sales
- Comply with all cash in/out procedures and steps needed for daily reconciliations of ticket business with total accuracy at all times
- Perform other duties and projects, as assigned
- Knowledge of a theatre environment
- Superior customer service and verbal skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Ability to learn a specialized software system
- Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment
- High School diploma and some college preferred
- Ability to pass a police background check
- Available to work weekends and evenings, depending on show schedule
- Successful completion of an extensive hiring process
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
Monday thru Friday9:45am to 6pm (later if an event is scheduled)
Saturday
11:45am to 6pm (later if an event is scheduled)
Sunday Closed (unless an event is scheduled)

CompensationThe starting hourly wage for this part-time position is $16.90.
