ATDS | Dental Hygiene Coordinator

Overview

A-TEAM Dental Staffing is looking for Hygiene Coordinators to support our dental offices and maintain patient engagement and oral health education.

• Work with the Dental Hygienist and Doctors to educate patients on gum health and oral hygiene.
• Schedule and coordinate hygiene appointments and recalls.
• Communicate with patients via phone and email, ensuring they understand appointment details.
• Review patient charts and notes for upcoming appointments.
• Assist with insurance billing and dental terminology usage.
• Maintain professional phone etiquette and follow Covid‑19 protocols.
• Build rapport with patients and co‑workers and provide a welcoming environment.

• Minimum one year of overall front office experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or dental software.
• Understanding of hygiene sequences for each stage of oral hygiene.
• Ability to manage multiple scheduling columns and call patients for recall appointments.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance billing.
• Positive attitude, receptiveness to feedback, and curiosity to learn and improve.
