Instructional Paraprofessional, Head Start - Martone Elementary School

Qualifications

Six (6) months experience working with preschool age students; high school diploma or GED certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE). Twelve (12) units of child development or early childhood education core units. Instructional paraprofessional proficiency certificate. Must possess one of the following: active Associate Teacher Child Development Permit or higher level permit, Child Development Associate Certification, be enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate of baccalaureate degree, or be enrolled in a Child Development Associate credential program to be completed within two (2) years of the time of hire and ensure to meet the state licensing staff qualification requirements.

• Certification – All applicants must submit a copy of twelve (12) units of Early Childhood Education core units or Associate Teacher Child Development Permit.
• NCLB compliance – Attach Paraprofessional Proficiency Certificate and Child Development Teacher Permit or higher level permit or Child Development Associate Certificate.
• Required upon hire: proof of Influenza (flu), Pertussis (TDaP), and measles (MMR) immunizations.
