This full-time, onsite contract position enables you to provide dedicated 1:1 sign language support, helping students access their educational opportunities and thrive each day. Your expertise will make a direct difference in the learning experience of students who require specialized communication assistance.
Qualifications & Credentials- Hold an EIPA score of 4.0 or higher
- Completion of the CHSPE or NCLB, plus a minimum of 48 units of higher education study, an AA degree, or a Certificate for RID
- Alternatively, certification at TEC unit level 4 ACCI is accepted
- Proficient in interpreting in educational settings, with previous experience supporting students 1:1
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Deliver real-time sign language interpretation for assigned students
- Foster communication and engagement between students, peers, and educators
- Support student participation in classroom activities and school events
- Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and adherence to ethical standards in all interactions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support plans as needed
