Modesto Junior College (MJC) is seeking a part-time faculty member in the Accommodations & Support Center (formerly Disability Support Programs & Services). The ideal candidate will share MJC's commitment to educating its racially and socio-economically diverse student population. MJC currently serves about 24,000 students annually, the majority of whom are from racially minoritized populations, with the following breakdown: 53.5% Hispanic, 35.1% White, 4.9% Asian, 3.4% African-American/Black, 1.4% Filipino, 0.5% Native American, 1.1% Pacific Islander, 0.2% Multi-racial/Other (MJC Office of Institutional Effectiveness: https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).

MJC is a designated Hispanic-Serving Institution, reflecting the great responsibility that the college has to the educational attainment and economic well-being of the surrounding community. The successful candidate will join a college already fully engaged in exploring new wrap-around student support services and innovative pedagogical techniques to improve equity and overall student success. The successful candidate will join the Accommodations & Support Services department that continues to create curriculum responsive to student needs, increasing student completion through the implementation of strategies geared to increase student equity.

Salary Range / Other
- The Hourly Range: $54.27 to $86.76

Doctorate Range: $63.95 to $89.04( Certified Part-time Non-Instructional Hourly Salary Schedule)
Part Time Faculty office Hours are paid at a flat rate of $30 per hour.

Scope of Assignment
- The successful candidate will join the Accommodations & Support Services department that continues to create curriculum responsive to student needs, increasing student completion through the implementation of strategies geared to increase student equity.

Minimum Qualifications - MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in counseling, guidance counseling, student personnel, clinical or counseling psychology, education counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, marriage, family and child counseling, or a Bachelor's degree in marriage and family therapy or in marriage, family and child counseling and possession of a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT); and either 15 or more semester units in upper division or graduate level coursework related to people with disabilities, or completion of six semester units, or the equivalent of a graduate-level counseling practicum or counseling field work courses, in a post-secondary Disabled Students Programs and Services program or in a program dealing with people with disabilities, or two years of full-time experience, or the equivalent
